Facilities at Lac Breuil.
The facilities at the lake are :
- Clubhouse : Fully fitted kitchen with mains drinking water , gas hob and cooker , fridge and freezer , English tv , dining table to seat 6 anglers all with a fantastic view of the lake.
- Shower / Toilets : Mains shower available 24 hours a day , Ladies and Gents toilet all fenced with a drying area.
- Lake Kitchen : For our all inclusive guests , let us take the hassle of cooking and enjoy our full english breakfast and 3 course main meal.
A Short history of the lake :
Originally dug in 1958 to provide the gravel for the town of Breuil-sur-Vesle, the lake was owned by the local church. After remaining untouched for 40 years the lake was then taken over by one of the major banks in France and used as a social venue ,at this point the Clubhouse and Toilet block were built both of which are still operational today. Around 2010 the lake was purchased by French owners and became a syndicate water attracting plenty of french and dutch anglers. We purchased the lake in October 2016 and set about making it into a first class fishery. After a lot of work we finally opened in April 2018 when we were satisfied that the lake was ready to open. The estimated stock in the lake was around 100 carp some of which have gained in excess of 20lbs in weight to date ,we have stocked the lake every year 2017/18/19 with 90 carp of varying sizes (40lb-25lb) with a further stocking of 50 carp confirmed for the coming 2020 season. At present there are 3 known 50s , 20 known 40s ( 7 commons and 13 mirrors ) as well as plenty of high to mid 30s and lots of good 20s. All of the carp are well cared for in an environment that allows them to grow to their true potential.
